Give it to Me Straight
Although I love a solid compliment, criticism can actually be a writer's best friend. However, this is only true if you know how to handle it in the right way. Malicious criticism is going to come your way, and honestly, as a writer, the best thing to do is strip down the attack and see if it has any merit. If it does, use it to thrive and move forward. If not, it just makes the attack all the more sad. Not for you, but for them. Criticism delivered in a kind & sincere way as it should be, will only help you grow. A writer's worst enemy is their pride. Don't let it keep you from using the negative to make yourself better. And with that sentiment in mind, good, bad & ugly, let me have it.
